Overbury is a Church of England school and everything we do is founded on
a Christian ethos of respect and love for our neighbours and the wider world.
We have daily assemblies, some of which are taken by visitors including our
Foundation Governor, Canon Susan Renshaw. We also worship in our local church,
St Faith’s, at least two or three times a term - including our first
assembly each term and events such as Harvest Festival, Christmas Carol Service,
Christingle, Easter Service, Ascension Day, and Leaver’s Service. We
are delighted that we now have our own local Open the Book Group, who help
our pupils to further understand the bible through interactive stories in
Although, we are a Church of England school, we also acknowledge, learn
about, and respect other cultures and religions, celebrating festivals such
as Diwali, Eid and Sukkot, so that our pupils develop their understanding
and empathy to all people.
