Our School Day

Life at Overbury School is rich and varied with no two days being the same. Our school vision clearly sets out our aspirations for every day:

At Overbury Church of England First School, as a caring learning community, we build every child’s foundations for life by:
• Supporting and challenging our pupils to enable them to fulfil their individual academic and personal potential
• Empowering our pupils to take risks in their learning by building their resilience, independence and ambition; enabling them to become confident communicators who work together
• Fostering a life-long enthusiasm for learning; nurturing curiosity and creativity in everyone
• Enabling our pupils to become reflective and responsible young people with strong moral values, who care for and empathise with others

We actively encourage each pupil’s academic, spiritual, social and cultural development in a warm and friendly environment, where each child really does matter.

Full advantage is taken of our excellent facilities and beautiful environment; the children spend as much time as possible outside within our school grounds and beyond. A wide range of lunchtime and after school clubs ensures a full and varied curriculum.
